Professional Compliance & Flight Authorisations

All aerial operations are conducted by experienced pilots holding the EASA A2 Certificate of Competency and are covered by comprehensive extended commercial drone insurance. Every booking includes a dedicated visual observer (spotter) where required to ensure the highest standards of operational safety and regulatory compliance.

simacFPV manages the complete flight authorisation process on your behalf, obtaining all necessary approvals from the relevant authorities, including the Transport Malta Civil Aviation Directorate (TMCAD), Malta Air Traffic Services (MATS), and Heritage Malta where applicable. We also coordinate permissions with venue owners and other competent authorities when operations involve protected or sensitive locations.

Our expertise extends to planning and securing authorisations for flights in controlled and restricted airspace, including operations in close proximity to Malta International Airport, embassies and ambassadorial residences, the Parliament Building, Castille Square, and other security-sensitive or restricted areas, subject to approval by the competent authorities. Every operation is carefully planned and conducted in full compliance with EASA regulations, TMCAD operational requirements, and all applicable local aviation and safety legislation.
