Warning!

In order to avoid illegal acts, possible injuries and damages, please make sure to observe the following regulations:

1. It is strictly forbidden to make any modifications to the aircraft or use it for any illegal purposes.
2. Do not fly near a manned aircraft and land immediately if necessary.
3. It is prohibited to use an aircraft at large events, including but not limited to: stadiums, gymnasiums, concerts, etc...
4. Do not fly in areas that are prohibited by local laws.
5. Ensure that aircraft is flown without interfering with large manned aircraft on the route and always remain alert to avoid other aircraft.

Caution

In order to avoid illegal acts, possible injuries and losses, it is important to comply with the following:

1. It is prohibited to operate the aircraft so that it enters the no-fly zones as defined by local laws and regulations. No-Fly Zones include, but are not limited to: airports, border lines, prisons, hospitals, cities and areas were temporary events are held.
2. It is forbidden to fly in airspace that exceeds the maximum altitude limits set by local authorities.
3. Ensure that aircraft is within your visual line of sight (VSOL) and if necessary arrange for an observer (spotter) to help you monitor the position of the aircraft.
4. It is forbidden to use your aircraft to carry any illegal and dangerous objects.

Requirements

Quadcopters lighter than 250gr do not require a Remote Pilot Licence, however since the drone is equipped with a camera you must be registered on https://tmcad.idronect.com/, have a 3rd party insurance and all flights must be submitted on the application and authorised. Non-restricted areas are authorised automatically if below the specified altitude on the map and during the day, whereas restricted areas require manual authorisation from TM based on permission from owner of restricted zone. Airport zones require a "No Objection" from Malta Air Traffic Services (MATS)
