Overview

The VIFLY GPS-Mate is an innovative accessory designed to improve the GPS experience for FPV pilots. By supplying dedicated power to your GPS module, it allows satellites to be acquired without powering up the entire drone, eliminating unnecessary heat from the flight controller and video transmitter while significantly reducing GPS lock times.

Unlike a standard GPS installation, the GPS-Mate keeps your GPS module continuously powered while you swap flight batteries. This means your GPS maintains its satellite lock throughout your flying session, allowing you to get back into the air almost instantly without waiting for another cold start.

The integrated rechargeable 50mAh LiPo battery automatically charges during normal flight, so no separate charging is required. Compatible with both 3.3V and 5V GPS modules, the output voltage can be selected using the built-in switch, making the GPS-Mate suitable for a wide variety of GPS receivers.

As an added safety feature, the GPS-Mate also incorporates the functionality of the popular VIFLY Finder 2. If your drone crashes and the main battery disconnects, the internal battery powers a built-in 90dB buzzer, helping you quickly locate your aircraft even when the flight battery has been ejected.
